Matt Barnes needs some new shtick.

It’s been roughly eight months since Matt Barnes barged into his ex’s house to assault her boyfriend, and he’s still proudly promoting his violence and playing the victim because (wah, wah) Gloria Govan and Derek Fisher didn’t tell him they were dating.

“All I’m gonna say is he’s lucky there was a lot of people there grabbing me the whole time or it would have been a lot worse, but I think I got my point across,” Barnes said in a recent interview with “Hollywood Unlocked.”

But that’s not all he said about the “f–ked-up situation,” naturally. Barnes said he was taking a “penitentiary chance” when he drove 15 minutes — a source said it was 95 miles when The Post broke the story last October — to confront Fisher, then the head coach of the Knicks. He might have killed Fisher, he suggests now, but he’s too rich and smart for that.

“If I wasn’t an athlete and some s–t like that went down, it wouldn’t have just been a fight,” Barnes said. “People have lost their lives over stuff like that.”

In between professions of how much he’s moved on — “I want her to be happy. I know as long as he treats my kids right is my first priority,” he said — Barnes suggests Govan was immature, and he should be able to limit her dating pool.

“I’m not mad that you’re moving on, I’m mad at the fact there’s all these motherf—–s in the whole world and you choose someone I used to play basketball with,” Barnes said.

But don’t think Barnes’ delusions are limited to his frayed former romances, a category he still wants the world to believe includes the pop star Rihanna. The free-agent forward made his NBA Finals pick with designs on joining the best franchise in the league.

“Cleveland in 7,” Barnes said, before the Cavs fell into a 2-0 series deficit. “Because I want to possibly go to Golden State next year and help them win.”
