An identity crisis for the man formerly known as Ron Artest?

New Knicks forward Metta World Peace, who changed his name from Artest two years ago, is embarking on a standup comedy tour this summer, according to a photo of a poster he tweeted Friday. The ad reads “Metta World Peace presents,” but it also says the host will be Ron Artest.

Huh.

Does this mean that the Queensbridge native and former St. John’s standout’s name will be changing back to Artest now that’s back in New York? It’s hard to tell with someone like World Peace.

Maybe if you attend one of his comedy shows you can ask him in person.
