LeBron James is the one “in trouble.”

After a bank shot late in the fourth quarter put the Heat up 109-100, Jimmy Butler was seen saying, “They’re in trouble,” as he walked back to Miami’s bench.

Butler later explained it was a shot back at James after the Lakers star said “You’re in trouble” to Butler after a Los Angeles run in the second quarter. Butler’s triple-double masterpiece — 40 points, 13 assists, 11 rebounds — willed the Heat to a 115-104 win and back into the NBA Finals after they dropped the first two games.

“It’s competition at its finest,” Butler said. “I think LeBron got the best of me way too many times. I respect the guy for it, but this is a different time now, a different group of guys that I have around me.”

Game 4 is on Tuesday night. The Heat hope to have Goran Dragic (foot) and Bam Adebayo (neck) back with their team, now very much alive.

“I go to war for those guys because whenever they’re out there, they’re going to war with and for me,” Butler said.
