From We The North to South Beach, Kyle Lowry is getting a change of scenery.

The star point guard is off to the Miami Heat on a three-year deal, $90 million deal after a sign-and-trade with the Toronto Raptors, according to multiple reports on Monday.

“Miami Heat x Kyle Lowry,” he posted on social media. “Let’s goo!!”

Last season, Lowry was seen as a major trade deadline commodity before staying put with the Raptors. The Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, and Los Angeles Lakers were amongst the teams that showed interest in him.

Lowry, who won a championship with the Raptors in 2019, averaged 17.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game last season. He is also a career 36.8 percent 3-point shooter. He has made the All-Star Game six times out of his nine seasons in Toronto.

The 35-year-old offers crucial veteran experience, poised ball handling and decision making. He is also able to create his own shot whenever he is called upon. 

This offseason the Dallas Mavericks, Heat, 76ers, and New Orleans Pelicans all had an interest in the guard’s services.
