PHILADELPHIA – Jason Kidd has made a miraculous recovery from back spasms and will play and start tonight vs. the Sixers.

With Raymond Felton making his return from a broken pinkie, Mike Woodson will go with the smallball lineup of Felton, Kidd and Iman Shumpert.

Woodson had talked about Kidd in grave terms yesterday about how he had played him too many minutes since Felton’s injury, and it seemed he was ready to rest Kidd today after he reaggravated his back in Boston Thursday. Kidd missed practice and was holed up in the Philly hotel getting treatment all day.

But Kidd wanted to play. He wouldn’t say at what percentage he is.

Asked about the load of minutes he has gotten, 30-plus, Kidd said, “Well, we want to win. I’ll get my rest once we get fully healthy. Getting Ray back definitely helps.’’

Kidd was the full-time point guard in Felton’s absence since Christmas. Now he gets to play off the ball.

“I haven’t guarded the ball and ran the point for some time,’’ Kidd said. “(In Dallas), I had J.J. (Barea) or Jason Terry. I initiated the offense but I didn’t have to guard the ball. This was a throwback for me back to Jersey when I did both.’’

Felton came out of the 4-on-4 scrimmage yesterday unscathed and feels he’s in top condition. Even his two bone bruises on each hand healed during his time away. He will wear padding on his pinkie area.

“I feel like a new man,’’ Felton said. “Like I’m going to play the first game of the season again. (The hands) feels good…until I get hit on it.’’

Felton plans to play both games of the back-to-back set but will be re-examined tomorrow. The Knicks host Atlanta.
