SAN ANTONIO — Sean Williams’ Nets career figures to come to an end today when the Nets waive him as part of a trade with Dallas. And the oft-troubled forward spent part of his last day denying a published report that claimed he recently was escorted out of a Chelsea bar for belligerent behavior.

“Not a word in that gossip column is true,” Williams said last night of the Daily News report that claimed he threw an ice bucket at a waiter, bothered female patrons and took a swipe at a bouncer. Williams’ troubled Nets stay should end today when the Nets finalize a deal that will obtain Kris Humphries and Shawne Williams from Dallas for Eduardo Najera and a $2.4 million trade exception. Both Sean and Shawne Williams will be waived.

“I’m going to talk to my agent and see what opportunities arise and go from there,” Williams said. “I’d like to thank Rod Thorn and the Nets organization for giving me the opportunity to be in the NBA. I had some ups and downs here and I learned a lot.”
