The Rockets still can’t get past the Warriors on the big stage.

The least-anticipated game on the Christmas Day NBA slate led to a surprise result on Wednesday, with the lottery-bound Warriors shocking the Rockets 116-104 in San Francisco.

The Rockets (21-10) were favored by the 10 points prior to the game against a Warriors team (8-24) without two of its superstars in Stephen Curry (broken hand) and Klay Thompson (torn ACL).

But just like four of the past five postseasons, the Warriors took Houston down. They outscored the Rockets 52-34 in the second half en route to their third victory in a row.

Four of the Warriors’ five starters, including Draymond Green (20 points) and ex-Nets point guard D’Angelo Russell (20 points), each scored 18-plus points in the win.

Houston’s Russell Westbrook scored 30 points on 32 shots, while James Harden chipped in with 24 on 9-18 shooting. Absurdly, that’s his third-lowest scoring total of the season, as he is averaging 38.6 points per game.

The Rockets, who won the first regular-season matchup between the two teams, currently are the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference.
