MIAMI — For Nets fans starved for good news, here’s a kernel: Kevin Durant has been back on the court for a week, and is progressing towards a return.

“He’s on the court shooting, working through things, looking really good. There’s still a period of time he’s got to go through to get over the line, but really positive,” Steve Nash said of Durant, who has not played since he sprained his left MCL on Jan. 15.

Durant missed a 14th straight game Saturday. The Nets came into their game against the Heat just 2-11 since he went down and had lost 10 straight to fall from first in the Eastern Conference to eighth.

“He’s been on the court for a week or so,” Nash said before the Nets’ 115-111 loss to the Heat. “Now, some of it is starting with spot shots, working his way up to more dynamic movement. But that’s the part of the rehab he’s in and he’s doing great.”

LaMarcus Aldridge didn’t make the trip, but is nearly back from a sprained left ankle. He has missed seven straight since getting hurt Jan. 29.

“He’s days away more than weeks away,” Nash said.

With the trade for Andre Drummond — who has the best career rebound percentage in NBA history (24.6) — the crowded pivot has five centers.

The Mt. Vernon-born big man is confident his new team can contend for a ring.

“We have a great roster. I think when everybody’s healthy and able to play all together we’re very scary down the stretch in the playoffs. Do I think this team is a championship team? Absolutely,” Drummond said. “With the group of guys we have here, we’re more than capable of doing it and I don’t see why not.”

Nic Claxton (hamstring) and Joe Harris (ankle) were out, as were Drummond and Seth Curry. The trade for the newcomers was finalized too late because James Harden’s physical with the 76ers hadn’t been completed yet.

Considering Harden’s purported issues with Kyrie Irving’s part-time status, it was conspicuous. Irving will be ineligible for the next four games (three at Barclays Center, one at the Garden), so he won’t play with the newcomers until, at earliest, Feb. 26 in Milwaukee.
