ANKARA, Turkey — Nets point guard Deron Williams said on Twitter he has officially signed with Turkey’s Besiktas.

The All-Star guard posted a picture of Friday’s agreement with Besiktas bearing his signature on his Twitter account.

Williams says on Twitter: “just made it official, headed to Turkey…signed with Besiktas.”

Williams averaged 20.1 points and 10.3 assists for the Nets and the Utah Jazz last season.

Nets guard Sasha Vujacic signed with Anadolu Efes in Turkey on Friday. The 27-year old Slovenian guard agreed to a one-year deal with an optional second year.

It did not say whether Vujacic has an option to return to New Jersey if the NBA lockout is lifted, as Williams is believed to be able to.

Vujacic averaged 11.4 points in 56 games last season for the Nets. He joined the Nets in a three-team deal in December from the Los Angeles Lakers, where he played there for six seasons, winning two NBA titles.

Nets draft pick Bojan Bogdanovic signed with Fenerbahce of the Turkish League in June.

Istanbul-based Efes has won 13 national titles.

Nets guard Jordan Farmar told NJ.com he would consider playing in Israel.

The report says Farmar “is Jewish, and his stepfather is Israeli, which would make him an attractive commodity for teams in the Israeli league.”
