The injury curse that hampered Sean May through four NBA season has struck again, ending his Nets career before it started.

The Nets on Tuesday waived the 6-9 power forward after he fractured his foot last week. May, following a career-high 37 games last season with the Kings, signed a make-good deal with the Nets earlier this month.

“Last week, in preparation for the upcoming training camp and season, Sean May suffered a stress fracture to his left foot. This injury has a 4-8 week rehab period which would not provide Sean a legitimate chance to make our team,” GM Billy King said.
