NETS WORK OUT FLYNN
The Nets will get their up-close look at Syracuse point guard Jonny Flynn today as they stage their final workouts before Thursday’s draft. And that may be as close as they get because Flynn is projected to be gone when they pick at No. 11.
And they won’t see one other guy they had hoped to give a second once-over, Terrence Williams. The Louisville wing sprained an ankle working out in Charlotte yesterday and won’t do a second audition today as planned.
But some other guys who are on their radar and are very likely to be available at No. 11 in Thursday’s draft will be on hand today — North Carolina power forward Tyler Hansbrough, Duke shooting guard Gerald Henderson (making a return appearance) and point guard Brandon Jennings, who has been playing in Italy after Oak Hill Academy. Projected high second-round pick Arizona State power forward Jeff Pendergraph also will work out today.
