The New York Liberty did not take the floor for the national anthem at its season opener Friday, according to reports.

Instead, the team stayed in the tunnel, off-court, while the song played in the Barclays Center — as did the away team, the Indiana Fever.

A rep for the Liberty didn’t immediately return a request for comment.

The Liberty edged out the Fever that night, 90-87. They’ll play again on Sunday in Indianapolis.

At least three other teams — the Phoenix Mercury, the Dallas Wings and the Los Angeles Sparks — also stayed off the floor for the national anthem, according to tweetsposted Friday night.
