The wings reinforced why the Knicks have kept afloat without Jalen Brunson.
OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges carried a second-half comeback Sunday evening for the Knicks, who toppled the Blazers 110-93 after trailing by 14 in the third quarter as MSG celebrated Clyde Frazier’s 80th birthday.
Bridges, who has kicked his production into high gear since Brunson’s injury, dropped 21 of his 28 points in the second half, shooting 12-for-22 from the field.
Anunoby also scored 28, giving him at least 23 points in each of the past six games.
“I think [aggressiveness] is the biggest thing,” said Josh Hart, who flirted with a triple-double again with 14 points, nine assists and eight rebounds.
“Obviously he has the capability. He’s using his frame and gets to the basket. Using that physicality to finish or get to the line.
“So especially with guys injured, we need guys to be aggressive.

Their offense made up for an off night from Karl-Anthony Towns, who shot just 4-for-13 with 10 points.
Anunoby and Bridges are also picking up the slack for the continued absence of Brunson, who missed his 12th straight with a sprained ankle but is creeping closer to returning after he revealed Sunday he’s resumed “basketball activities.”
The Knicks (47-27), who have clinched a playoff spot and will probably secure the third seed, are 7-5 without Brunson.
The team’s big improvement is defensively, holding seven of the past 12 opponents to 107 points or less.
Turnovers are being forced with more frequency and the uptick coincided with the return of Mitchell Robinson from ankle surgery.
On Sunday, they collected 10 steals — including three apiece from Hart and Anunoby — while scoring 15 points off turnovers.
“I think overall the physicality is a lot better,” coach Tom Thibodeau said. “And guys understand what we’re trying to do. Having Mitch is a big factor in that. I thought Mitch’s defense was a huge factor in the third quarter. The ball pressure, the rim protection. When you have somebody like that out there, then everybody gets more aggressive.

Still, Sunday wasn’t always pretty. The end of the first half was a struggle against the Blazers (32-43), who are young and likely returning to the draft lottery.
After leading by 10 with about five minutes remaining in the second quarter, the Knicks allowed Portland to go on a 20-3 run and trailed by 8 at the break.
That deficit hit 14 with nine minutes left in the third quarter, but the Knicks responded with a 22-7 run that they rode to victory.
The Knicks were again running makeshift at point guard with Brunson, Miles McBride and Cam Payne all out with injuries.
Delon Wright (7 points, 35 minutes) made his second straight start, with Tyler Kolek (0 points, 14 minutes) as the backup.

“We stepped our defense up, got stops, and converted those stops into points,” Towns said. “I’ve said it before — Knicks basketball is at our best when we get turnovers and convert those to points, so we did a good job of that.”
And those points converted to three wins in the past four games — all without Brunson.
“It’s about wins — that’s what the city cares about, that’s what we care about,” Towns said. “So anytime we can put one in the left column, it’s a good day.”
