Ugly details are emerging from the incident in which Jusuf Nurkic tossed a fan’s cell phone.

Nurkic, a center on the Portland Trail Blazers who has been out with a foot injury for about a month, approached an apparent heckler Sunday night in Indianapolis.

The Bosnian big man approached the fan, grabbed his phone and tossed it.

According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the heckler allegedly told Nurkic that “your mom is trash” and said that his “grandma’s a bitch.” Nurkic’s grandmother passed in 2020 from COVID-19.

Nurkic was fined $40,000 by the NBA for confronting the fan, the league announced on Tuesday.

Nurkic, 27, has been in the NBA since the 2014-15 season. He is averaging 15.0 points and 11.1 rebounds per game for the Blazers this season.
