Not a good look for Raptors. Not at all.

On the eve of the biggest game in franchise history, two Raptors players were spotted out in a Cleveland casino just before 2 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Toronto Sun. That night, the team was decimated by the Cavaliers, 116-78, in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference final, giving LeBron James & Co. a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.

After a team dinner Tuesday night, most of the team watched some of the Western Conference finals game between the Warriors and Thunder, and then went to bed. Yet forward DeMarre Carroll and guard Cory Joseph were seen at the Jack Casino near Quicken Loans Arena in the wee hours, much to the surprise of their coach, Dwane Casey.

“I didn’t know that,” Casey said. “This isn’t why we lost. … This is the NBA, they’re grown men. These are grown men. These things happen.”

It was unclear if either player would be disciplined, but it was clear that Toronto was awfully outplayed. Carroll got 26 minutes and scored five points; Joseph played 10:14, mostly in garbage time.

“That’s not why we lost,” Casey reiterated. “It was an 8:30 game. That’s the good thing, I guess.”

After dropping the first two games of the series, the Raptors won Games 3 and 4 in Toronto. They now play a do-or-die Game 6 back in Canada on Friday night.
