Redskins greats Art Monk and Darrell Green are questioning if the name should be changed for the franchise.

Monk and Green, both Hall of Famers, are speaking out on the topic of changing the name of the team. The two were on WTOP radio, in Washington, and spoke out about the situation.

“Native Americans feel like Redskins or the Chiefs or another name is offensive to them, then who are we to say to them ‘No, it’s not’?” said Art Monk.

“It deserves and warrants conversation because somebody is saying, ‘Hey, this offends me,’” said Green.

The debate has been a topic over the last few months, as Redskins owner Dan Snyder has stated multiple times that the name will stay the same.
