TORONTO — RJ Barrett will work out with the Knicks on Monday in Tarrytown as the former Duke swingman prepares for the NBA draft.

The Grizzlies have the second pick in the June 20 draft and last month ESPN reported they had zeroed in on Murray State point guard Ja Morant, leaving Barrett for the Knicks. However, Morant underwent arthroscopic knee surgery two weeks ago amid a report the club had softened on him.

Morant probably will miss the Las Vegas summer league because of the surgery. Memphis likely has given pause to Morant because. given his injury, he is unable to work out for them. It was previously reported Barrett declined a workout with the Grizzlies, who interviewed him at the NBA Draft Combine.
