Stephen A. Smith’s new plan to save the Knicks involves … himself.
The ESPN analyst and noted Knicks fan posted a highlight montage of himself piloting the franchise to NBA 2K glory on Twitter. This comes just days after a miserable Smith ranted on Twitter
to nab Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in free agency.
At this point, Knicks fans are so down on the current administration, they just might take it.
The video references The Avengers, features a windmill dunk, a behind-the-back 360 dunk, and Smith wearing No. 99. So if you were wondering, yes, it’s typically over-the-top.
And, after the Knicks tried to save face by releasing a statement addressing their failures to sign a superstar, then instead spending the money on Julius Randle, Elfrid Payton, Bobby Portis, Taj Gibson, Reggie Bullock and Wayne Ellington, it might be the closest to a title the franchise gets this year.
