Draymond Green is the heart of the Warriors dynasty, but he seems like a lot to deal with on a daily basis.
Golden State coach Steve Kerr appears to have vented some frustration during the Warriors’ stunning, 115-111 loss to the Suns on Sunday night.
“I’m so f–king tired of Draymond’s s–t,” Kerr could be seen saying, as later video showed Green animated on the bench during the same timeout.
What the “–” between the “s” and the “t” means is up for debate, with some theorizing that it was an s-bomb, while others believe he was saying “shot.” Either way, Kerr was clearly not pleased with his forward. Green was 3-of-9 shooting and 0-for-3 behind the arc in the loss to the Suns. Green’s shooting has been a disaster this season, with his 3-point percentage plummeting to .250.
The Kerr-Green intrigue was only part of a rough night for the Warriors, who have now lost four of their past six games. Kevin Durant left the game in the fourth quarter with an ankle contusion, and Klay Thompson called out the Oracle Arena crowd for not being supportive enough against the 16-52 Suns.
“I expect our crowd to be a little more into it, too,” Thompson said. “I know it’s not the playoffs, but it is our last go-round at Oracle. At least you could stand up if someone makes a good play, especially at the beginning. We need that energy, especially this time of the year.”
