The Suns are finding new ways to drive away whatever fans they still have left.

Phoenix forward Josh Jackson was fined $20,000 by the NBA’s worst team after failing to show for a meet-and-greet session with fans at a local grocery store Wednesday night. After learning that the 22-year-old missed the autograph session — tied to a promotion in which fans could win two tickets to a future game with the purchase of a 12-pack of beer — to attend a friend’s birthday dinner, interim Suns general manager James Jones arrived to salvage another embarrassing evening for the franchise.

Jackson posted an Instagram story of the celebration.

Jones provided the fans who waited with tickets to a future game, a mailed autograph and a free 12-pack of beer for everyone of legal age, and reportedly signed autographs and took pictures with those who went to the event.
