Gordon Hayward’s free agency went much better than cooking his turkey on Thanksgiving.

The new Hornets star, who landed a four-year, $120 million contract from Charlotte last weekend, might need to put some of that money toward a cooking class after his Thanksgiving turkey came out looking worse for wear.

“Is this how it’s supposed to look?” Hayward’s wife, Robyn, wrote in an Instagram post Thursday that included a video of the turkey looking like it was falling apart at the bones and Hayward making a face while staring at the turkey.

The end result seemed to avoid a disaster as Robyn posted another picture of herself, Hayward and one of their daughters posing with a full plate of turkey.

The 30-year-old Hayward cashed in after opting out of his $34 million player option with the Celtics. The Knicks and Pacers were among his interested suitors, but the Hornets came through with a monster offer for the wing who suffered a brutal leg injury five minutes into his Celtics career in 2017.
