Caitlin Clark won’t be going head-to-head with an NBA sharpshooter during the league’s upcoming All-Star weekend.

The WNBA superstar won’t compete in a 3-point challenge on Feb. 15 the way the Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu did against the Warriors’ Steph Curry last year.

That’s because Clark wants to first appear in a 3-point contest at this year’s WNBA All-Star weekend, the 23-year-old’s reps told ESPN.

The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game will be held on July 19 in Indianapolis, the home of Clark’s Indiana Fever.

Ionsecu is planning to attend the NBA All-Star festivities again, though it’s unclear if she will be competing in a 3-point competition.

Clark helped spur record gates and viewership for the WNBA during her rookie year after doing so at Iowa in college.

The WNBA Rookie of the Year averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists and 5.3 rebounds across 40 regular-season games in her debut campaign.

Her 769 points and 337 assists are both WNBA rookie records.

Neither Clark or Ionescu competed in last year’s WNBA 3-point contest during the league’s All-Star weekend in Phoenix.

Ionescu, who lost to Curry 29-26 in last year’s duel, helped lead the Liberty to their first WNBA championship in 2024.
