Teams have until 4 p.m. to make deals and solidify their rosters for potential postseason runs, and while the Jets likely already made their biggest splash last month when they acquired Davante Adams from the Raiders, the Giants could still trade players and stockpile draft picks.
Wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins and Amari Cooper have already been dealt to the Chiefs and Bills, respectively, but will other high-profile names shift teams?

Giants officially keep Azeez Ojulari, Darius Slayton as 4 p.m. deadline arrives
Given their expiring contracts, it wouldn’t have been surprising if the Giants opted to trade OLB Azeez Ojulari, WR Darius Slayton or both ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.
But general manager Joe Schoen reportedly had a high price for teams to meet for Ojulari, according to The Athletic, and by the time 4 p.m. arrived, both Ojulari and Slayton remained with the Giants.
Tre’Davious White, who made two Pro Bowls with the Bills before injuries kept disrupting his career, has been traded from the Rams to the Ravens, according to NFL Network. Los Angeles will receive a seventh-round pick in the 2026 draft in exchange for White and their sixth-round pick in 2027.
White has started four games for the Rams this year, recording 12 tackles and two passes defended. He has appeared in just 25 games since his last Pro Bowl season in 2020.
The Steelers’ defense, already allowing the second-fewest points per game (14.9) this season, added to its unit ahead of the deadline by acquiring Preston Smith from the Packers in exchange for a seventh-round pick in 2025, according to multiple reports.
Smith, a pass rusher, has sacked opposing quarterbacks 68.5 times across his 10-year career with Washington and Green Bay. Through nine games in 2024, he has collected 2.5 sacks and four quarterback hits, and he’ll join a pass-rushing group with the Steelers that includes T.J. Watt and Cameron Heyward.
The Cowboys were buyers ahead of Tuesday’s 4 p.m. trade deadline, but their decision to fork over prime draft compensation for “raw” NFL talent has perplexed several unnamed execs.
When discussing Dallas’ decision to acquire second-year Panthers receiver Jonathan Mingo and a 2025 seventh-round pick in exchange for a 2025 fourth-rounder, NFL Network’s Jane Slater reported on X that one GM deemed the comp “too much.”
“I asked a GM of another team his thoughts on the Cowboys trade for Jonathan Mingo. The thoughts were something ‘Talented. A little raw. Comp is too much…like way too much. Basically a net 5th. Probably is most like Tolbert of the guys there.’ The GM goes on to say ‘Just my opinion. Not a bad player but to include a 4th is rich,'” Slater shared Tuesday morning.
Weeks after quarterback Aaron Rodgers criticized the veteran receiver, the Jets traded Williams to the Steelers ahead of the NFL trade deadline for a fifth-round pick.

After signing Williams to a one-year deal in March, with Williams coming off ACL surgery, he never filled the role of becoming their No. 2 option behind Garrett Wilson. So the Jets acquired Davante Adams from the Raiders last month, and they dealt Williams to the Steelers in exchange for a fifth-round pick Tuesday, according to ESPN.
Williams was targeted just 21 times in nine games, with those resulting in 12 catches and 166 yards. He’ll now join a Pittsburgh offense — featuring No. 1 wideout George Pickens — that has sputtered at times with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields under center.
