After making a couple of moves this week, the Patriots still find themselves in the rumor mill.

ESPN's Mike Reiss reported Wednesday that that a "running back and veteran pass rusher are the two most likely areas [the Patriots] will target."

New England head coach Mike Vrabel said earlier this week that the front office is "gauging the market around the league," per Reiss.

It appears the Vikings are getting J.J. McCarthy back.

The rookie quarterback took all of the first-team reps on Wednesday and told ESPN that he feels "amazing" heading into Sunday's game against the Lions.

"I'm ready to go," McCarthy said. "I feel like myself again. I feel like I have those mobility things that I was concerned about going into last week and the prior weeks. So yeah, ready to go."

McCarthy has been sidelined since suffering a high right ankle sprain on Sept. 14.

49ers receivers Jauan Jennings deleted his Instagram account on Wednesday, a move that brings about questions amid a 5-3 start entering a Week 9 matchup with the Giants.

In San Francisco moving on from from one of its top receivers in another injury-plagued season?

That's not how coach Kyle Shanahan tells it.

"I would be very surprised if Jauan wasn't on our team throughout this year," he told reporters.

Jennings, 28, has 18 receptions on 36 targets through six games on the season, accruing 212 yards and a touchdown.

He's been one of several 49ers players battling through injuries, with shoulder, ankle and rib maladies.

Jennings had 77 receptions for 975 yards and six touchdowns last season.

Metchie, a former second-round pick of the Texans, had four catches for 18 yards in seven games this season for Philadelphia.

Metchie had 40 catches and one touchdown in his two seasons in Houston.
