Broadway Joe Namath was touched watching Aaron Rodgers explain why he did not want to wear Namath’s retired iconic No. 12.

“That was warm, that touched my heart a bit, that shows something about the man,” Namath told The Post. “He has a way about him, a lot of respect for the past. I was humbly grateful, you know what I mean? It felt good. It made me like him even more (laugh). First time I met him I liked him, and I’ll tell you what, I’ve not seen anybody play better than him over the last 10, 15 years I’ve been watching.”

Brett Favre believes Aaron Rodgers ‘will do great’ with Jets after trade

By Jaclyn Hendricks

As someone well-versed with second acts in New York, Brett Favre believes Aaron Rodgers will thrive with the Jets.

Speaking to ESPN after Rodgers was traded to the Jets from the Packers on Monday in a blockbuster move, Favre — who followed that same path years prior — proclaimed the four-time league MVP “will do great” on Broadway.

“He will handle the transition as well as anyone. [He’s a] very smart and instinctive person, on and off the field. In other words, you’re not going to catch him by surprise very often,” the 53-year-old Favre told the Worldwide Leader.

“And I think [he’s] the best at making everyone around him better. I would rather not bet at all than bet against him.”

Aaron Rodgers says FaceTime logs don’t support Packers’ communication claims

By Jaclyn Hendricks

Aaron Rodgers kept the receipts — or the call logs, for that matter.

When speaking to the media Wednesday in his first press conference as a member of the Jets, the quarterback was asked about communication allegations lobbied by Packers brass in the offseason, which included allegations of ghosting on Rodgers’ part, before Monday’s blockbuster trade.

“I don’t know if I really need to get into the specifics. I will say, people that know me, I’m fortunate to live in a beautiful house, the only downside is I have very limited cell service, so if you want to get a hold of me, I have to see your face, you have to FaceTime me,” Rodgers said.

“The only response to the communication thing is, there’s records in your phone about who called you, when, FaceTime, and there wasn’t any specific FaceTimes for many of those numbers that I was looking at.”
