Aaron Rodgers’ regularly scheduled Tuesday appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” was pushed back a day shortly after the news broke of Robert Saleh being fired.

Rodgers is now scheduled to appear at 12:10 Wednesday on the ESPN show.

McAfee said the appearance was delayed partially because the Jets’ schedule is altered this week with them playing Monday night.

“For the rest of the world right now, it’s Tuesday. In the New York Jets football operation, it’s Monday because there is one week until the next game or six days until the next game …” McAfee said.

“This firing happens and then boom, the schedule goes crazy. And then it’s like, hey, tomorrow, probably much smarter and much better and much more couth for the entire situation, especially for a coach he has a lot of respect for.”

In a season with Super Bowl expectations with Rodgers back under center after a season-ending Achilles injury a year ago, the Jets haven’t looked as expected under the fourth-year coach.

Follow the latest on the New York Jets firing head coach Robert Saleh:

They dropped their last two games, including their most recent 23-17 drop to the Vikings on Sunday morning in London that saw Rodgers throw three interceptions.

It proved to be the nail in the coffin for Saleh.

Saleh, who had one year remaining under the contract he signed in 2021, will be replaced by defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich as interim head coach.
