ALBANY — The interception parade continued this afternoon, with four more to bring the two-day and four-practice total to 11. That’s a lot of turnovers and good news for the defense. And not so good news for the offense.

CB Corey Webster and LB Bryan Kehl each intercepted a pass and rookie Vince Anderson, a cornerback converted to safety, had two, both off rookie Rhett Bomar. On the second, Bomar’s pass glanced off the hands of Sinorice Moss and Anderson was there to grab it out of the air.

Other practice highlights:

WR Steve Smith redeemed himself for a bad drop in the morning by racing downfield to haul in a deep Eli Manning pass. Smith got behind CB Aaron Ross.

Rookie WR Hakeem Nicks made his first downfield reception, catching an 18-yard completion on the left sideline.

K Lawrence Tynes in his first action of camp hit all eight of his field goal attempts, the longest two from 41 yards. Tynes last year injured his knee at camp and afterwards blamed the high grass on the fields at the University at Albany for contributing to the injury.

DT Jay Alford stopped rookie RB Allen Patrick in the backfield to ruin one running play.
