Alex Leatherwood has plenty of bones to pick with cats.
On Monday, the former Alabama offensive lineman spoke to NFL Network’s Andrew Siciliano about what teams had quizzed him on prior to next week’s 2021 NFL Draft. Leatherwood noted that when asked to pick between dogs or cats, it was a no-brainer.
“A team asked me a couple of weeks ago if I was a dog or cat person, and of course I had to say dog,” the 6-foot-6 athlete said.
“Who doesn’t love dogs?” Leatherwood continued. “I even have a dog of my own, a Doberman pincher.”
As the exchange continued, Siciliano expressed his disdain for felines, finding a kindred spirit in Leatherwood.
“At first, I was caught off guard a little bit,” Leatherwood said of the unnamed team’s question. “But I mean, it was a no-brainer, dog. Who likes cats? Those are, those are demons.”
In addition to their furry four-legged friend preference, NFL prospects have been subjected to bizarre questions from teams over the years, including, “What is Bitcoin?” and “What is ISIS?”
