All draft picks reado to go
By PAUL SCHWARTZ
The Giants have agreed to terms with Kenny Phillips, their first-round draft pick out of Miami, and will have their entire seven-playewr draft class in attendance for the start of training camp in Albany. Players report Thursday morning to the University at Albany.
Phillips, selected with the 31st overall pick, is expected to compete immediately for the starting free safety spot. The Giants lost Gibril Wilson in free agency and Phillips figures to be the replacement, if not immediately then shortly thereafter. Heading into camp, second-year Michael Johnson is listed at the No. 1 free safety but that could and likely will change once Phillips learns the NFL ropes.
