Amon-Ra St. Brown is apologizing for his touchdown celebration on Sunday.
The star Lions wideout broke out a version of the “Trump dance” after scoring in the first quarter against the Commanders.
President Donald Trump, along with House Speaker Mike Johnson and other members of his cabinet, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, were in attendance for the game in Landover, Maryland.

Icon Sportswire via Getty ImagesDuring a Wednesday episode of the “St. Brown Podcast” that he hosts with his brother Equanimeous St. Brown, the two-time All-Pro said he was sorry if he had “offended anyone” for his dance.
“First of all, if I offended anyone, I do apologize. I did not mean to offend anyone. It was just, we’re having fun,” St. Brown said. “If any president was at that game and had a dance I would have done it. It had nothing to do with who the president was.”
Trump, who became the first sitting president to attend an NFL regular season game since 1978 when Jimmy Carter did so, shared a clip on Truth Social of the celebration — which included St. Brown pointing to a spot in the crowd and moving his arms as Trump has done many a time. A caption inside the video called the receiver “Amon-Ra St. Trump.”
Brown reiterated that his celebration was meant to just be something “fun.”
“We were just having fun, doing the dance,” St. Brown said added. Nothing more, nothing less.”

At least three members of the Tigers celebrated with the same dance at Yankee Stadium with Trump in attendance on Sept. 11.
The three-time Pro Bowler is in the midst of another strong season with 64 receptions and eight touchdowns through nine games.
