Amon-Ra St. Brown went down and was removed from Thursday’s game between the Lions and Packers.
St. Brown was rolled up on from behind by offensive lineman Kayode Awosika on a Jahmyr Gibbs rushing attempt with 6:19 remaining in the first quarter, and the Packers leading 3-0.
St. Brown was clearly in pain, and multiple team doctors came to look at their coveted receiver. After initially being ruled as questionable to return, St. Brown was ruled out at the start of the second half of the eventual 31-24 loss to the Packers.

The prognosis on Friday came back about as good as could be expected for St. Brown, as he was diagnosed with a low ankle sprain that could force him to miss a week or two, but is not considered a long-term injury.
The bigger problem for the Lions is that St. Brown is looking likely to be out for the next few weeks, when Detroit needs to pull off some wins.
Detroit (7-5) faces the Cowboys and Rams next in pivotal games, and they clearly missed St. Brown in Thursday’s loss to Dallas.

The stud Lions receiver had not been targeted in the pass game prior to the injury.
Through the first half, the Lions really struggled through the air, as quarterback Jared Goff missed his security blanket, as St. Brown was not on the sideline with the team, presumably getting treatment from team doctors.

On the final drive, Goff honed in on Jameson Williams, going 5/5 for 58 yards and a touchdown to end the half with a score of 17-14.
Detroit utilized other playmakers; between Williams and rookie receiver Isaac Teslaa, who scored a third-quarter touchdown in St. Brown’s absence to cut the deficit to 24-21.
