The NFL just can’t get rid of Antonio Brown.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson shared a photo of himself and the mercurial wide receiver on Instagram on Sunday; Brown shared his own posts on Instagram indicating he was at SoFi Stadium for Super Bowl LVI. Brown sat next to his new business partner, Kanye West, alongside West’s two oldest children: North, 8, and Saint, 6.

Brown’s last five years have been akin to writing a textbook on how to be discarded by the NFL’s collective 32 teams as a nuisance. In his latest antics, Brown quit the Bucs mid-game, taking off his shirt and doing jumping jacks in the end zone en route to an Uber out of MetLife Stadium. Presumably, this was finally enough to get the controversial receiver booted from the league for good.

However, Jackson’s social media post is an indicator that he could take up a lobbying campaign with John Harbaugh and the Ravens’ front office to bring Brown aboard – much like Tom Brady did with Bruce Arians and Bucs GM Jason Licht in Tampa Bay.

In January, when Brown was asked where he would like to play next, he touted the former MVP as a quarterback he’d like to link up with.

“Let’s give Lamar Jackson his flowers,” Brown said. “Shoutout Lamar Jackson, that’s it.”

For his part, Jackson noticed a clip of the interview and quote tweeted it with a purple devil emoji. In Gen-Z communication norms, that qualifies as an endorsement.
