Austin Seferian-Jenkins was hit with three charges in a DUI arrest from last week, in which the NFL tight end was said to be high, drunk and speeding in Washington state, according to police documents obtained by TMZ Sports.

Police also say Seferian-Jenkins didn’t have the ignition interlock device installed in his car, the likely result of a court order due to a previous DUI. This is his third DUI, with the last one coming in 2016 and the other in 2013.

A Gig Harbor PD officer said Seferian-Jenkins was doing 48 mph in a 30 mph zone in Gig Harbor around 1 a.m. on March 9 when the NFL free agent began swerving in his 2016 Dodge Charger.

Seferian-Jenkins, who has played for the Buccaneers, Jets and Jaguars before a brief stint with the Patriots in 2019, allegedly almost turned onto a wrong-way off-ramp and cut across multiple lanes of traffic without a blinker before he was pulled over.

According to the police documents, the 27-year-old told the officer he was headed toward a McDonald’s for a late-night snack. The officer said Seferian-Jenkins reeked of booze and marijuana and had bloodshot eyes. When the officer asked Seferian-Jenkins to get out of the car, the 6-foot-5 tight end was swaying in circles and refused to take a sobriety test.

The former second-round pick (38th overall) by the Buccaneers in the 2014 NFL Draft was arrested on the scene and eventually charged with one count of DUI, one count of driving with a suspended license and one count of operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device, which tests the driver’s sobriety level before the driver can operate the car.

Seferian-Jenkins was also issued a civil infraction for speeding and improper lane change, but was arraigned on the charges on March 11.

In his five-year NFL career, Seferian-Jenkins has accumulated 116 catches for 1,160 yards and 11 touchdowns. He last signed a one-year contract with New England in April 2019 before he was released less than two months later. His 2016 arrest cost him his job with the Buccaneers. He joined the Jets the same season, but was suspended the first two games of the 2017 season stemming from the DUI.
