No one was more excited to see Baker Mayfield in action on Sunday than his wife Emily.

Ahead of kickoff against the Ravens, Emily took to Instagram, where she posted a photo of the 26-year-old quarterback walking through the tunnel to the Browns’ locker room.

In addition to captioning the shot with three heart emojis, Emily — who has been married to Mayfield since July 2019 — dropped three “red-hot” animations as the quarterback walked about.

Mayfield, whose fourth season in Cleveland has been a rollercoaster, to say the least, completed 22 of 32 attempts Sunday for 190 yards and two touchdowns. The 2018 first-overall pick also threw an interception, his seventh this season.

The Browns logged their seventh win of the season over their AFC North rival, who lost starting quarterback Lamar Jackson to an ankle injury.

“We did enough to win the game, so check that box off, but got conservative,” Mayfield said after the game, with the Browns improving to 7-6.

“I think we need to put that team away,” the quarterback continued. “We got ahead early, just need to capitalize when the defense is playing like that and holding them to points. We need to put it away. That’s what good teams do, so we need to improve on that. But we were better in the red zone today and on third down. That’s something that obviously, I’ve talked to you guys about. So we just need to play better in those situations to put the game away.”

The Browns, one year removed from a playoff run, have dealt with a myriad of controversies in recent weeks, including the November departure of mercurial receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Mayfield has also been a magnet of criticism, not just from Browns fans, but from family members of his teammates, too.

Emily, meanwhile, continues to be Mayfield’s biggest supporter. Last month, she posted and deleted an Instagram Story that appeared to question the toughness of her husband’s teammates. She then addressed the social media drama in a follow-up tweet.

“I repost MANY stories that fans tag me in,” Emily tweeted at the time. “I saw 1 pic/post as a salute to Bake’s toughness/grit. I DID NOT SEE where it said the rest of the team should ‘take a hint and get tougher’.

“It came to my attention & I deleted it. They are ALL beyond tough… & ALL have my support,” she continued.

The Browns take on the Raiders (6-7) on Saturday afternoon.
