Justin Fields was knocked out of the Chicago Bears game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday with an injury to his right hand.

The Vikings subsequently won the game 19-13, improving to 2-4 on the season, dropping the Bears to 1-5 in the process.

Fields left the game in the third quarter after slamming to the ground as he tried to escape a tackle from Minnesota’s Danielle Hunter.

Fields stayed down momentarily and left the game before being ruled out by Chicago.

He was replaced by undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent out of Div. II Shepherd University.

After playing poorly in the first three games of the season, Fields recovered with back-to-back four-touchdown performances, first in a loss to Denver and then in a win over Washington.

After the game, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said X-rays on Fields’ right hand were negative and the quarterback will undergo an MRI on Monday, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
