CINCINNATI BENGALS (-2.5) over Cleveland Browns
This AFC North blood match is essentially a litmus test on the starting quarterbacks involved.
We have to line up behind second-year wonderboy Joe Burrow, against the (shall we say) erratic Baker Mayfield.
We prefer quarterbacks who don’t let shadows bother them. By the end of this season, this lay with the favorite may seem small. Mayfield needs to turn in a perfect game, and not sold that’s in the cards. Ride with Cincy on the up escalator.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS (-6.5) over Chicago Bears
In a meat grinder, matching two of the league’s oldest franchises, will look to the home-standing Steelers to further extend Chicago’s latest season of distress. Bears QB Justin Fields has considerable upside, but he would be justified in suing management for non-support from his offensive line. Prideful hosts will move heaven and earth not to lose this one, and Mike Tomlin should find the ways to emerge triumphant. Steelers make good.
Last week: 1-1. 49ers (W). Vikings (L).
Season: 9-6-1.
