Jets fans and Bill Belichick have something in common: They don’t like talking about the buttfumble.

Four years and one day after Mark Sanchez’s infamous Thanksgiving play, the Patriots coach was asked by an intrepid reporter if he had “found any excuse this week to analyze film of the buttfumble.”

Let’s see if you can guess Belichick’s response:

A) No response until awkward silence leads to next question.

B) “We are on to (fill in the blank).”

C) Actually answers the question with a (somewhat) straightforward response.

D) Cracks the slightest of smiles before moving on quickly.

C, the answer was C.

“Great question. That’s awesome,” Belichick offered. “I don’t think we are going to get to that.”

The Jets play host to the Patriots on Sunday.
