Patriots coach Bill Belichick had an uncharacteristic reaction when a reporter’s young child crashed a virtual press conference on Monday, one day after the team’s 50-10 blowout win against the Jaguars.

When NBC Sports Boston reporter Phil Perry asked about wideout Kristian Wilkerson being activated, his young child began yelling in the background.

Belichick, who’s known for his stern demeanor, appeared to enjoy the moment, and immediately cracked a smile.

When the reporter apologized for “the background noise,” Belichick laughed and said, “No worries. I can see you’re multi-tasking here.”

The reporter replied, “It’s not going well as you can tell,” to which Belichick admitted, “Yeah, we’ve all been there.”

Perry tweeted about the moment, writing, “Crowd noise was a factor.”

It’s obvious that Belichick, a father of three, understands the trials and tribulations of parenting, but it was nice to see the six-time Super Bowl winner have a wholesome moment in a press conference.

It was just last week that Belichick went viral after shutting down a reporter’s question about his 2022 New Year’s resolutions.

Belichick and the Patriots (10-6) will close their season against the Dolphins (8-8) on Sunday.
