Bills cornerback Dane Jackson exited the field in an ambulance in an incredibly scary scene.

In the final moments of the first half of the team’s 41-7 “Monday Night Football” win over the Titans, Jackson collided with teammate Tremaine Edmunds while attempting to defend a completion to Tennessee receiver Treylon Burks. The Bills were leading 17-7 at the time.

Jackson, 25, was attempting to make a tackle when Edmunds dove in and inadvertently hit him in both his head and neck area, sending him backwards. He remained on the ground after the hit.

Jackson was brought to ECMC Hospital in the area to undergo a CT scan and X-ray for a neck injury, the Bills announced. He has full movement in his extremities, however, head coach Sean McDermott told reporters after the game.

“You go from being a coach to just being a human when I’m out there watching him getting loaded into the ambulance. That’s a real moment,” McDermott said. “Just praying for him. It’s an unfortunate situation but we’re praying for him and hopefully we get some more (updates) here soon.”

After the play, Titans running back Hassan Haskins pulled Jackson off Burks. Jackson lay face down and pounded the turf with his right arm.

The game was delayed for nearly 10 minutes as team doctors attended to Jackson, who was moving his legs. He was then moved onto a stretcher and into an ambulance and driven off the field.

Jackson is in his third season with the Bills since being drafted in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He was starting in place of Tre’Davious White, who continues to recover from a left knee injury he suffered last year.

The Bills cruised past the Titans, 41-7.
