Buffalo Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie has taken his first COVID-19 vaccination dose.
A few days after posting a letter from the NFL that he was being fined for violating health and safety protocols for unvaccinated players by not wearing a mask inside the team’s practice facility, McKenzie posted a selfie on his Instagram story Saturday holding a vaccination card with a caption reading, “For the greater good” with a thumbs-up emoji.
McKenzie had tweeted Thursday the league letter showing he’d been docked $14,650 for the violation, writing “They got me! @NFL you win.” The vaccination card he posted Saturday showed he has received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, which gained full FDA approval earlier this week.
McKenzie’s teammate Cole Beasley remains among the league’s most outspoken players refusing to receive a vaccination.

So what’s the point of the mask anyways?
“Meanwhile I’m here still testing negative and can’t come back. Make it make sense.”
