We are a week away from not having to see another mock draft until 2023, thank god.

How many more do our eyes have to see? The Giants will have the Nos. 5 and 7 picks in the 2022 NFL Draft and have plenty of needs. It’s all but a lock they’ll draft at least one offensive lineman with one of those picks, but what do they do with the other? Will they be making any trades?

There’s lots to get into on a special NFL draft preview edition of the “Blue Rush” podcast with Lawrence Tynes and Paul Schwartz. We are joined by friend of the program and Giants safety Xavier McKinney, who is primed for a monster third season in 2022.

Blue Rush Podcast with Paul, Lawrence & Jake

  • NO. 5 PICK: Who do the Giants go with? It seems an offensive lineman could be a lock with this one.
  • NO. 7 PICK: Is it a pass rusher here?
  • JAMES BRADBERRY: Do the Giants find a trade partner for their star cornerback?

Xavier McKinney Interview: Giants safety

  • BACK IN THE BUILDING: No more COVID protocols and McKinney can finally be in the building and find his way around.
  • LEADER: Would he want to be a captain? Does he feel the need to be even more of a leader with Logan Ryan gone?
  • DABOLL: What’s the vibe with new head coach Brian Daboll? It’s not as uptight around the building. Daboll calls in to check up on him and say what’s up.
  • WINK MARTINDALE: Excitement working with the new defensive coordinator and maybe having the chance to blitz the QB.
