Every Giants fan on the planet hates Doug Pederson right now…and rightfully so. What a pathetic series of events by the Eagles head coach. After claiming he did not want to see Washington get NFC East champions shirts and hats on their field, he gave up on his team on Sunday night, putting third-string QB Nate Sudfeld in the game for Jalen Hurts in a 17-14 game, giving the Eagles no chance of winning. With all that being said, the Giants took care of business against the Cowboys to close the season on a strong note. Six wins just is not enough to get to the playoffs and Joe Judge’s team had plenty of chances to pull off a win in one of their many tight games, which would have had them playing Tom Brady in the playoffs.
To examine the Giants’ win, the Eagles’ awful loss and the upward trajectory for Big Blue, we bring you a new episode of the “Blue Rush” podcast with Lawrence Tynes and Paul Schwartz. The season finale of the podcast will be released Thursday, looking ahead to the Giants offseason.

Blue Rush Opening Segment with Tynes, Schwartz, Jake
- Doug Pederson’s horrific coaching Sunday night. What was he doing? Nate Sudfeld was atrocious. No reason he should have been in that game in that spot. Eagles owed America a good game. Jalen Hurts mouthing “it’s not right.” Was Pederson trying to get fired? Eagles will be bad for a few seasons.
- Important win for the Giants beating the Cowboys. Daniel Jones looked better. Was able to run a bit.
- Leonard Williams’ big payday coming. Xavier McKinney with the big interception. Giants are stacked at safety going into 2021.
- Evan Engram cost Jones a few interceptions this season with balls he should have caught. His inability to adjust while the ball is in the air has been a problem. Wayne Gallman’s fumble that he recovered had everyone scared.
- Is Troy Aikman the ultimate “homer” when calling Cowboys games?
- Giants are a better team than the Cowboys. Arrow is pointing up for them. A ton of close games. One goes Giants way and they end up winning division.
Tynes Take:
Tynes rips into Pederson for what he did Sunday night and says he should not be a head coach again after that. He looks back to Tom Coughlin not resting anyone in a game that meant nothing in Week 17 against the Patriots in 2007 and how much that meant to the guys. Tynes looks at the 2020 season as a success as Joe Judge has established the culture surrounding the franchise that everyone wants.
