Davis Web

Is Chad Powers available to play QB in London on Sunday?

Giants fans crossing the pond might not get the 3-1 Giants we have seen thus far. They might be forced to watch third-string quarterback Davis Webb. But not all hope is lost. There is still the chance Daniel Jones will start, despite his injured ankle. Big Blue is dealing with key injuries at both QB and receiver. We don’t know yet who’s throwing the ball and we don’t know yet who is catching it.

We do know that Saquon Barkley will be in the backfield, which has been the integral part of the offense.

To preview the Giants’ matchup in London against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, we bring you a new episode of the “Blue Rush” podcast with Lawrence Tynes, Paul Schwartz and Brandon London.

Blue Rush Podcast with Brandon London, Lawrence Tynes & Paul Schwartz:

  • QB DILEMMA: It’s TBD on who the Giants will start. The arrow is trending up for Daniel Jones to potentially play. Tyrod Taylor’s concussion likely has him out. Giants worked out Jake Fromm and A.J. McCarron. If Jones and Taylor can’t go, it will be in the hands of Davis Webb.
  • LONDON GAME: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be packed with both Giants and Packers fans. Lawrence relives the game he played in London for the Giants and how bad the field was there. It was a tough field to kick and play on.
  • RECEIVERS: This team needs Kadarius Toney back and making an impact. They can use him in a wildcat, too, where he throws the ball. His issue has been availability. He cannot stay on the field. Kenny Golladay will likely be out after getting hurt on a block. He’s been good blocking, but nothing else.
  • OBJ: It’s not a big story. He won’t sign with the Giants. He will go the Rams or another team that can win a Super Bowl. Brings back nostalgic feelings to see him at the Giants facility.
  • GIANTS-PACKERS PREVIEW: Giants have no interceptions this year. They will need to force Aaron Rodgers into bad decisions and force a few turnovers if they want to win this game. The whole crew is taking the Packers. Without knowing yet who is playing QB, it’s hard to pick the Giants to win, even if a banged up Jones starts for them.
