Brittany Matthews has a bone to pick with the officiating crew from Sunday’s Chiefs-Bengals game.
The fiancée of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes laid into the refs Sunday on Twitter, stating Kansas City “got screwed” in the Bengals’ 34-31 win.
“The REFs DO NOT want us to win,” Matthews, 26, tweeted Sunday afternoon, writing in separate follow-up messages, “TOTAL BS,” and “We just basically got screwed, that’s all.”

“Nothing to say here,” she captioned photos of herself at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati.
In addition to Matthews, who has fiercely defended Mahomes, 26, and the Chiefs throughout the season, Kayla Nicole, the girlfriend of tight end Travis Kelce, also tweeted, “refs on trash.”

Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed was flagged for illegal use of hands on a fourth down play in the final minute, giving the Bengals a fresh set of downs. It resulted in rookie Evan McPherson kicking the game-winning field goal.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid was asked about the penalties postgame and responded, “I’d like to comment on each one, but I don’t want to be fined,” according to The Kansas City Star.

InstagramAlthough the Chiefs had already punched their ticket to the postseason, Sunday’s loss snapped Kansas City’s eight-game win steak. They’ll visit the Broncos next week to close out the regular season.
The Bengals, meanwhile, clinched a postseason berth with Sunday’s win and their first AFC North title since 2015.
