It’s (almost) the final countdown.

Brittany Matthews, the fiancée of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, shared Wednesday on Instagram that the days are ticking down until she and her high school sweetheart become husband and wife.

“Let the countdown begin,” Matthews wrote alongside a photo of herself holding a heart-shaped pillow.

The Instagram post comes days after Matthews enjoyed a lavish, “Queen of Hearts”-themed bridal shower, where she was joined by fellow Chiefs WAGs Sydni Paige and Kayla Nicole, the fiancée of safety Tyrann Mathieu and the girlfriend of tight end Travis Kelce, respectively.

“To my friends & family, Thank you guys for making my Bridal Shower so special🥺🥂💍I love you all!” Matthews exclaimed Tuesday on Instagram.

Matthews has been engaged to Mahomes, both 26, since September 2020. In February, the couple announced that they had welcomed their first child together, daughter Sterling.

Although it remains to be seen when Matthews and Mahomes will tie the knot, the personal trainer said in March that the nuptials will take place in 2022. The couple gifted their bridal party, which also includes Mahomes’ younger brother, Jackson, Cartier Love bracelets and Rolex watches.

Matthews’ other half will face the Chargers (8-5) on Thursday in Los Angeles, where the Chiefs (9-4) will try to get their seventh straight win over their division rival.
