NBCElevated levels of the hormone hCG [human chorionic gonadotropin] were detected, which caused an alarm because “this was not from anything external,” since Singleton said he was “diligent” about what he put into his body.
He decided to share his story with the hope it would raise awareness and encourage others to seek out regular screening.

“Thankfully, we believe the cancer was caught early with a great prognosis for me and my family,” he said in a statement. “While we are still awaiting some additional test results, I fully expect to return to the field in the coming weeks.”
The seven-year linebacker only missed one game since — Denver’s massive 22-19 win over the Chiefs last week — and is now game-ready just 23 days later.
ESPN reported Wednesday that was “tracking” to play Sunday evening.
