The NFL opt-out list has officially reached 50.

Browns defensive tackle Andrew Billings opted out Tuesday, bringing the total around the league to 50. Players are allowed to opt out of the season because of the coronavirus pandemic.

A three-year veteran, Billings recorded one sack and four tackles for loss last year with the Bengals. Billings signed a one-year, $3.5 million deal with the Browns this offseason, which will now toll to the 2021 season. He becomes the third player on the team to opt-out.

Around the league, notable opt-outs include Patriots linebacker Dont’a Hightower, safety Patrick Chung, Giants tackle Nate Solder, Eagles receiver Marquise Goodwin, Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley, Bills defensive tackle Star Lotulelei, Chiefs running back Damien Williams and Packers receiver Devin Funchess. The list also includes free-agent guard Larry Warford, a three-time Pro Bowler.

The Patriots lead the league with eight players opting-out of the 2020 season.

Players have until Thursday at 4 p.m. to opt out. After that deadline, they’ll have to meet two requirements: a new diagnosis of one of the “higher-risk” factors or a family member passing away or being hospitalized due to COVID-19.
