The Browns announced on Twitter Wednesday morning that Brian Hoyer is the team’s starting quarterback, putting Johnny Manziel on clipboard duty to start the season.

Both quarterbacks have struggled through Cleveland’s first two preseason games, and Manziel’s maturity was called into question again when he gave the Redskins bench the middle finger on Monday night.

The Browns open the season against the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
