The Buccaneers-Dolphins joint practice on Wedneaday was not a good day for Tampa Bay.
After welcoming the Dolphins into their training camp for two days of practice before their preseason matchup, it appears that the Bucs narrowly escaped an injury disaster. Both wide receiver Russell Gage and center Robert Hainsey exited the session with injuries.
Hainsey was carted off the practice field, which was particularly worrisome with starting center Ryan Jensen expected to miss significant time with a knee injury. But reports said it turns out Hainsey only had cramps.
Gage pulled up lame during one-on-one drills and was able to exit the field under his own power. It appeared to be an injury to his left leg. Gage joined the Buccaneers in March on a three-year deal pulling him away from the division rival Atlanta Falcons.

Gage is an important piece at receiver for the Buccaneers while Mike Evans recovers from a leg injury and Chris Godwin works his way back from an ACL tear.
