Two of this generation’s premier quarterbacks will meet in the postseason for the first time Sunday afternoon with a Super Bowl 2021 bid on the line.

It will be Tom Brady and the Buccaneers against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks with five combined Associated Press MVP awards and 23 Pro Bowl appearances between them.

Brady has reached the top of the mountain six times, but is hoping to win his first Super Bowl with the Bucs after spending his entire career prior to this season with the Patriots. He led Tampa Bay to an 11-5 record and road playoff victories over the Washington Football Team and Saints. The Buccaneers last reached the NFC title game in 2002, when they won their first and only Super Bowl.

Rodgers, meanwhile, won it all just once back in 2010 and last played in the NFC title game in 2016. He had a brilliant season, leading Green Bay to the No. 1 seed and throwing a career-best 48 touchdown passes, just five interceptions and completing 70.7 percent of his passes. The Packers knocked off the Rams in the divisional round, 32-18, after receiving a wild-card bye. The two did face each other during the regular season this year, a lopsided 38-10 Bucs victory in Tampa Bay. Rodgers was picked off twice and failed to reach the end zone, while Brady threw for a pair of scores and Ronald Jones II ran for 113 yards and two touchdowns.
